The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a good choice if you're looking for an affordable robot vacuum and mop. It gives a great mopping experience, but doesn't have the features that make up its more expensive counterpart.
During tests, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium-pile. It doesn't use LIDAR however, as other models do to identify your home.
iRobot Roomba s9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It has impressive cleaning power and numerous features, including a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. This robot can learn your habits for cleaning and recommend automatic schedules that will give you an effortless cleaning experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once the system is set up, you can start automatic cleaning with a single button click. You can choose a general clean, which prioritizes the removal of larger particles like rice and cereal. You can also opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that the entire home is cleaned thoroughly.
This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and low-pile carpet. It can remove pet hair and also suck big objects up. It doesn't lose suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's not able to work with plush or high-pile carpets however, iRobot promises that the next models will be more efficient.
The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that is focused on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which it hopes will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It's a nice improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we discovered it to be only incrementally better than circular models.
iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with a superior filtering system that stops tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating in your home. We think it's a nice claim however, it's not enough to justify a higher price.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of a combination of sensors to remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology to map the interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles, such as stairs and other barriers, and also to clean your entire home in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundaries to ensure that the robot is aware of what areas require extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a robot that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are as effective as those of more expensive models, and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a better job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibration pad.
The only drawback is the absence of a second brush for deeper cleaning. However, that's not a big deal for those who want to own one of the top robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank is also larger than many of its rivals, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it up, even at the highest dirt level.
For the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping settings that it has which are less powerful than the high-powered ones, create minimal noise, meaning you can work or watch television without being distracted. It will gently bump into furniture or walls and then move away whenever it comes across one.
What makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost autonomously with very little need for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and will automatically move trash into a hidden bin. It also cleans and dries the clean water tank. The app will only notify you when something is wrong like the water tank being empty or a cancelled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.
You can also design and merge rooms to modify how the Q Revo manages your home. This feature is helpful if you have different flooring in different areas of your house or if you need to regularly remove clutter, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, picking up debris from both carpets and hardwoods in its first run. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I suggest drying the area with a towel prior to sending it to.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum with all the features you can need. It comes with an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with an auto-cleaning station that automatically washes and cleans mop pads to keep them fresh and ready for reuse. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that is able to better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture or other objects.
The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it is sleeker and more modern design thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet in height and depth and weighs almost four pounds--the robot and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.
This model is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it charges faster and can handle a complete cleaning of around 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
Lastly it is worth noting that the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and an assistant voice that works offline, which means you can control it even when you're not home. It also has a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a set path.
The X2 Omni is the most effective mopping robot. Its mop pads rotating remove tough stains and its motor produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent as well, and it boosts suction when it senses carpets to ensure that it does an excellent job. It also has a huge battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as efficient as any we've seen in the market for a consumer robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a top-quality model that has a range of features that aren't typically found on robots in this price range. It can create detailed floor maps and identify different flooring types. It's also among the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These are nice features, but they also push the L10s into the luxury category. This might make it more expensive than homeowners need.
The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's slim and tall and has a white-colored finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper, which protects the vacuum and furniture from damage while moving around the house. In the pane in the front is additional navigation technology in the form of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top, there's one button that basically acts as an on/off switch. The button will activate the vacuum. Clicking it again will turn it off and transmit it to its base station. The control panel includes the circular menu which lets you select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences.
