The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you are looking for a robotic mop and vacuum that's middle-of-the-road. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but doesn't have the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.
In tests, it was able to take on dust and dry oats on carpets of medium pile as well as pet hair on hard flooring. It doesn't use LIDAR however, like cheaper models do, to locate your home.
Roomba s9+ from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It offers impressive cleaning power and a variety of features that include a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. This robot can recognize your habits of cleaning, and recommend automatic schedules to give you a truly hands-free cleaning experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning process at the click of a button. You can choose an overall clean that focuses on the removal of larger pieces of debris like cereal and rice. Or you can select two detailed mappings to ensure that the entire home is completely cleaned.
This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It can pick up pet hair and clean big objects up. It doesn't lose suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's not the best time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot promises it will improve in the future with new models.
The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that is focused on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which it hopes will allow it to be able to swaddle walls and furniture. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are standard, but we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also features an advanced filtration system which blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. We think it's a nice statement however, it's not enough to justify a higher price.
Its smart navigation system employs a combination of sensors to remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, and establish virtual boundary markers, so that it knows to avoid areas that need extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it comes to robots that combine vacuuming and mopping the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those found on more expensive models. Its mopping system is superior as its spinning pads scrub floors more efficiently than a vibrating pad.
The only issue is the lack of a second brush to allow for more thorough cleaning. However, it's not a major issue when you're looking to purchase one of the top robots available. The dust tank on the robovac is bigger than most of its competitors, and filling it takes just two or three cycles, even when you've got the most dirt.
As for the mopping device, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub tough dirt from my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest that are less abrasive than the more powerful ones, create very little noise, which allows you to work or watch television without interruption. If it encounters a wall or piece of furniture it gently smacks into it and then moves forward.
What really makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost completely on its own, with no need for human intervention. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically transfers physical trash to the bin hidden in the background and also cleans and drys the mop pads and refills its clean water tank. The app is capable of nagging you only when something is in need of attention, like the clean water tank running low or a scheduled cleaning session having been canceled due to a stuffed dust bin.
You can also create or merge actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo treats your home. This is an excellent feature to have if you have several rooms in your home that have different flooring materials or there's some clutter that needs to be removed regularly, such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, removing debris from both carpets and hardwoods on the first pass. It can also clean up spills that are wet however I would recommend cleaning them off with a cloth before sending the robot into.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that has all the features you could wish for. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum with a powerful suction to clean carpets and hard floors, plus a rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also comes with an auto-cleaning base station that automatically cleans and empty mop pads, keeping them germ-free and ready for use again. It also has website a sensor system that can detect obstacles better which allows it to avoid falling on furniture and other objects.
The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it is sleeker and more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still quite large. It has a height of more than two feet the height and depth and weighs almost four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.
This version is more efficient than the X1 since it charges faster and can clean 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also comes with a larger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that is functional even when you're not at home. It also has more mopping options and an intelligent routing feature which allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead simply following a predetermined path.
The X2 Omni is the best robot for mopping. Its mop pads rotating remove tough stains and its motor produces lots of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding as well and it enhances suction when it senses carpet to ensure it does a thorough job. It has a large, rechargeable battery that lasts up to one week. The mopping feature of the robot is also very effective.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a high-end model that has a range of features that aren't often found on robots in this price range. It has the ability to create detailed floor maps, identify different types of flooring and is among the few to automatically wash and dry its mop pads. While these features are nice to have, they also put the L10s Ultra in the category of luxury and could mean it's a little more expensive than some homeowners need.
It is designed to resemble a modern floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish highlighted by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine features an enormous bumper that shields the vacuum cleaner and furniture while moving around your home. Sensors are concealed behind the front panel, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top, there's one button that basically serves as the on/off switch. This button will activate the vacuum. Clicking it again will turn it off and send it back to its base station. The central control panel is a circular menu that allows you to select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons will allow you to access the settings in the app, which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map out your home. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and identify them and avoid them, which is a great feature for homes with pets or children.
The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability which clears 98.4 percent of debris from our hardwood floor test and taking out all but the most difficult juice stains. The mops are also efficient, taking away 98.4% of debris on our tile, wood, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't as effective in removing sand from the floor, or quaker oats on the carpet.
